Beginning with a 1970's split-level, faux gambrel roof accents, and an orange brick and vinyl siding exterior, we were tasked with transforming this structure into a beautiful English Cottage inspired home. The existing site is a lengthy corner lot, which allowed our team to expand the home along the road frontage, creating a central living area and more privatized primary bedroom suite. Upon entering the home, you are immersed within the vaulted and dramatic living and dining room with a double height glass wall overlooking the rear courtyard and pool. Off to the right is a generously sized kitchen, complete with built-in appliances, coffee bar, and island fronting the living and dining room. The two-story portion of the existing home was reimaged as a children's bedroom wing and vaulted home office, with enlarged windows capturing views of the front and rear yard.
The primary suite overlooks the pool and rear courtyard, with large windows and vaulted ceilings to create an oasis for the homeowners. Beyond is a covered outdoor living room which was designed to accommodate a future home expansion and includes an outdoor kitchen. At the far end of the property is the stand alone home gym and yoga loft, creating a backdrop for the pool area and inspirational space for personal fitness. The home is clad in a combination of limestone and brick, with wood siding and shutter accents. The synthetic cedar shake roof and trim vertical windows reinforce the English inspired aesthetic and create a timeless look for the homeowners to enjoy for years to come.
