Allatoona Gateway Shopping Center

Home of The Crazy Book Lady, this vintage red-brick shopping center was in need of a refreshed aesthetic for current and future tenants. The project scope include a redesign of the entire exterior of this facility and a white-box renovation to any vacant storefronts. The existing brick facade remained the backdrop for the renovation, allowing for new materials, signs, and parapets to be added as an enhancement to the existing structure.

With the brick refinished in an off white tone, light grey cementitious panels, dark metal accents, and wood storefronts were added to provide visual intrest and variety to the exterior. Vine covered trellises were introduced near the restaurant and coffee shop, along with a rhythem of landscape planters to bring color and a softened appearance to the shops. New storefront glazing with suspended canopies further improved each space by providing increased visibility for tenants and protection from the elements for shoppers.
